"I had a totally natural home birth. My doula recommended this product for after delivery, so I ordered it way in advance. It's expensive, but soooo worth it! I only wish I'd ordered 2 jars. "I bought this because the other reviews convinced me that it would help me so much after childbirth, and it did! It calls for 1/2 cup in the bath each time, but I only used 2-3 tablespoon scoops each time instead to make it last longer. That way, it lasts a whole month for me. After enduring completely natural childbirth and tearing my perineum and choosing not to have stitches, I can say that New Mama bath soak helped me SO much! I honestly don't know what I'd do without it! I will definitely buy this again for whenever I have another baby!"

I used this in combination with healing comfrey compound, squirt bottle of warm water with a few drops of witch hazel, st johns wort, and calendula (I think. It's been 13 months so I may be off on exactly what I put in there.), and soothing/healing concoction of herb soaked cotton pads. Didn't have to use spray or cream from the hospital, as I breastfeed and wanted as few drugs in/on my body as possible."

I don't know if it really helped healing or not, I was also using herbs in a peri bottle suggested by the midwives, but I healed well and it did feel better down there after each bath. The best advantage of this was that it gave me a good reason to get a 20 minute bath each day- which definitely helped emotionally and is hard to actually do with the newborn in the house."

"How much do you want out of your tush bath? It's made from authentic native american recipe, so I guess you get what you pay for. It worked amazingly well. It cost a lot so I only went through one tub on my first child. But it helped the transition."
